In this unit you will visit Dimona, the city located in the Negev Desert. You will meet Yanna’s family and learn new vocabulary related to family and household activities.

Upon completion of this unit, you will be able to read, understand and write more about household items and furniture, and about activities and issues involved in searching for a new apartment and moving. You will learn who how to pack your things in Hebrew, and who to call if you don’t want to carry them by yourself. You will also learn what and how to ask questions when you look for a new apartment.

Before we start, please look at this following checklist! Moving is not an easy thing, so we would have divided the journey into five parts:

  1. Vocabulary: related to searching for a new apartment and packing your old one.

  2. Interactive Reading: Janna’s family daily life before moving tp Beer Sheva

  3. Grammar: 

    • Conjugation of the word “self” – עצמי – and the different prepositions that come with it

    • The comparative forms more than / less than – יותר מ/ פחות מ

    • The superlatives הכי / ביותר  + שם תואר

  1. First Listening Comprehension: dialogue between Janna’s father and an apartment owner in Be’er Sheva

  2. Second Listening Comprehension: a meeting between Janna’s mother and her new neighbors, Na’ama and Ya’ir

  3. Bonus activity

Upon completion of this unit, you will be able to read, understand and write more about the experience of looking for a new job. 

You will also learn what and how to ask and answer simple questions in a job interview.

Before we start, please look at this following checklist! Moving is not an easy thing, so we would have divided the journey into five parts:

  1. In the first part, you will learn useful Hebrew vocabulary related to job applications, work experience and different job options.


  1. In the second part, you will learn new grammar topics that will….:

    1. Using the words חסר.. בעל...

    2. Review of prepositions with or without conjugations

    3. Review of construct state vs. noun + adjectives


  1. In the interactive story, you will find out how Janna’s family looked for new jobs, and who found what position.


  1. In the fourth, listening comprehension part, you will hear Janna’s mother describing her household chores and also a job interview with Janna’s father.


  1. At the end of the course, we prepare for you in-class activities and bonus exercises that will be available upon the successful completion of the unit.

You are almost done with level A! 

This was a long journey, and we think you deserve a holiday. Unfortunately, we can’t take you on a holiday, but we can give you the Hebrew vocabulary to do so! 

Upon completion of this unit, you will know more about vacations in Israel, and the vocabulary needed to search for them and book them.

Before we start, please look at this following checklist! Moving is not an easy thing, so we would have divided the journey into five parts:

  1. In the first part, you will learn useful Hebrew vocabulary related to holiday options, and some typical tourist attractions in Israel.


In the second part, we will jog your memory about the Beenyanim Pa’al, Pi’el, Niph’al, Hiph’il and Hitpa’el.


In the interactive story, you will find read about the perfect holiday that Yanna found and planned for her family.


In the fourth, listening comprehension part, you will hear about the type of holiday Israelis prefer, and the reason why Roee and Einat – an Israeli couple – loves going to “Zimmers”.


At the end of the course, we prepare for you in-class activities and bonus exercises that will be available upon the successful completion of the unit.
